At Hype Dance, we are dedicated to nurturing the whole child through the art of dance. Our mission is to build confidence, encourage creativity, and foster social connections in a supportive and joyful environment. We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to express themselves, develop their talents, and form lasting friendships while exploring the joy of movement.

CLASS CONDUCT

A dance class is a group activity that requires certain ground rules to ensure that you, and the other dancers in class, enjoy a safe, positive and challenging environment. No running in the studio unless directed to do so. Running in the studio is dangerous for both your child and others around them. No chewing gum or candy in class. Only water is permitted in the studio. Respect your fellow dancers. Respect the studio and studio property.

CLASS FEES & DISCOUNTS

NEW PRICING! All fees include — tuition, costumes, tights, accessories, recital fees. The only additional costs for dancers are for optional opportunities, such as: Solo & Ensemble Workshops, Professional Recital Photos, and Hype Dance Team events. Price breakdown: weekly tuition varies based on class length/level, see pricing for specific class tuition, a $45 Non-Refundable Recital Fee – Supports the costs of producing and hosting our recital and includes one recital flower bouquet for the dancer, Costume Fee – Includes costume, tights, accessories, shipping/handling, and exchanges and varies by class (non-refundable after September 26, 2025), and a $10 Payment Processing Fee – One-time per session. Class schedules and fees are subject to change.


We offer 10% off the total cost of the class(es) of equal or lesser value for the second sibling/class. Please contact us to apply the appropriate discount.

COMMUNICATION

A majority of class communication will be electronic via email or the PARENT PORTAL. Please ensure that the email address you enter at registration is correct and is the email that you would like information sent to. You may enter more than one email address when registering. In the event of an emergency, we require a current number for parent(s) or guardian(s) of minors. Please let us know if your information changes at any time. 

CLASS CANCELLATIONS

HYPE Studio adheres to the Sturgeon Bay School District's weather cancellation policies. If Sturgeon Bay School District decides to close or send students home early due to inclement weather, HYPE Dance classes will be cancelled. A cancellation email notification will be sent and posted to our social media accounts. There are no pro-rated refunds or makeup classes offered due to weather cancellations. Any cancellations that are due to illness or the instructor's unavailability will be offered a makeup class or a pro-rated refund will be provided upon request. 

DROP OFF & PICK UP

The safety of our dancers is our top priority. Because our studio entrance opens directly to the sidewalk on a busy street, we ask families to carefully follow the guidelines below:

Arrival

  • There is no waiting area for dancers and caregivers. Dancers should arrive no earlier than 5 minutes before class start time.

  • A parent or guardian must escort younger dancers to the studio door.

  • Please note that classes are often scheduled back-to-back. If another class is still in session, families will need to wait outside until the door is opened by a teacher. This ensures the class in progress can finish safely without interruption.

  • Please wait with your child until the studio door is open and a teacher is present.

Dismissal

  • Parents/guardians must come to the studio door to pick up their child.

  • Dancers will not be permitted to leave the studio unattended.

  • Dancers should not run, play, or wait on the sidewalk outside the studio.

  • If a parent is running late, please call/text to let us know. Staff will remain with your child until you arrive. 

DRESS CODE

Dancers should wear clothing that is clean and comfortable for movement including tights, leggings, leotards, fitted tops, and tutu. Jeans or clothing with zippers, buttons and buckles are not allowed. Please remove all jewelry or accessories prior to coming to class. 

SHOE REQUIREMENTS

Street shoes are not allowed in the studio at any time. Appropriate shoes are required for safety and performance. Please review your class information for the required shoes for your class. Unless specifically noted in the class information, children will not be allowed to participate in socks, barefoot or street shoes in the event appropriate shoes are forgotten.

STUDENT ILLNESS

There will not be any makeup/credit for classes missed due to student illness. It is not required to notify the studio of absences, however, if there have been multiple absences, please contact me so I can ensure your child is not falling behind.

CLASS DROPS OR CHANGES

The deadline to enroll, drop, or make changes is September 26, 2025. All changes are subject to availability in the new class. Please email Amber at hypedoorcounty@gmail.com

Recital fees and costume fees are non-refundable once paid. These fees reserve your dancer’s place in the recital and cover costume orders and theater expenses that are planned months in advance.

By reserving a recital spot, your dancer takes a space that could have been offered to another child. Because of this, recital fees cannot be refunded if your dancer withdraws from the class or is unable to perform.

We appreciate your understanding, as this policy ensures fair planning and allows us to provide the best possible experience for every dancer on stage.
